Japan’s Kyushu Economic Federation expects further cooperation with Hanoi

The two sides discussed cooperation in some key fields namely infrastructure, transport, industry, hi-tech, green technology, environment, and healthcare.

Japan’s Kyushu Economic Federation hopes that the launch of the Kyushu Promotion Center in Hanoi will create more opportunities for the two sides in terms of economics, partly contributing to strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

Honorary Chairman of Kyushu Economic Federation Yutaka Aso gave his expectation at a meeting with Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh today [March 8] in Hanoi.

At the event, Yutaka Aso shared information about the opening of the Kyushu Promotion Center in Hanoi, which is expected to be a business platform to introduce Kyushu's strengths to Vietnamese people and businesses, promoting economic ties and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and Japan. 

He expressed his delight at the strong relationship between Hanoi and the Kyushu region, with many important milestones, of which Fukuoka [Kyushu's largest city] and Hanoi became twin towns in 2008.

Kyushu is Japan’s third largest island, encompassing the seven prefectures of Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto, and Miyazaki.

Welcoming the delegation led by Honorary Chairman Yutaka Aso, Chairman Tran Sy Thanh expressed his impression of the long history and great potential of Kyushu Economic Federation. He hoped that the region's businesses would boost cooperation with Hanoi in potential fields.

The Hanoi mayor affirmed that the city is willing to cooperate with businesses from Japan and the Kyushu region, especially in some key fields, including infrastructure, transportation, industry, hi-tech, green technology, and healthcare.

He emphasized that Hanoi and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam actively organize a series of activities on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations.
