Iranian Ambassador receives peace insignia

Former ambassador of Iran Seyed Javad Ghavam Shahidi has been awarded the “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” insignia for his contributions to bolstering bilateral ties during his tenure in Vietnam.
The honour was presented to the diplomat at a ceremony held in Tehran on April 13.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese ambassador in Iran Nguyen Hong Thach highlighted the significant contributions of the diplomat to fortifying relations in politics, economics and culture between Vietnam and Iran during his term of office in the Southeast Asian country from 2007-2012.
For his part, Shahidi affirmed that he will continue working to consolidate and develop the relationship between the two nations.
