Investing 4,500 billion VND to conserve Hung Kings Temple historical site

The northern province of Phu Tho recently announced a master plan on preserving Hung Kings Temple complex by 2025, aiming to turn the special national historical site into an attractive tourism destination.
Covering an area of 845 ha in Nghia Linh Mountain in Phong Chau district, approximately 100km northwest of Hanoi, the relic site is a large complex comprising ancient tombs, monuments and temples. 
In 2012, UNESCO recognised the worshipping of the Hung Kings as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
According to the master plan, Phu Tho province is expected to invest about 4,500 billion VND to upgrade and embellish the Hung Kings Temple complex.

The project will implemented in two phases. Phu Tho province will invest 1,781 billion VND in 2016-2020 to complete undergoing infrastructure facilities, transport works and environmental protection projects. 
In the 2021-2025 period, about 2,723 billion VND will be spent to construct a Hung Kings Temple tower and surrounding architectural works, plant more trees in the Hung Kings Temple national park, build entertainment areas, and develop tourism sites and spaces for festivals. 
It is reported that since 2010, about 700 billion VND has been invested to implement conservation projects in the site, of which more than 100 billion VND was funded by local contributions.
The money was used to enlarge the Thuong (Upper) and Ha (Lower) Temples’ courts, upgrade the road system to Nghia Linh Mountain, embellish Thien Quang Pagoda, preserve and develop the Hung Kings Temple national park.
