Introducing fine Vietnamese dishes in Indonesia
Vietnamese Food Week, jointly held by Indonesia’ Ciputra Semarang Hotel, the Vietnamese Embassy and the Swiss-Belresort Tuyen Lam Da Lat Hotel of Vietnam, is taking place in Semarang, capital of Central Java, Indonesia from May 16-28.
The Vietnamese Food Week in Indonesia is a part of a cuisine and tourism exchange programme between the two countries.
During the event, fine Vietnamese dishes will be introduced to international friends.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Indonesia Hoang Anh Tuan praised the initiative, adding that the week's success would open up an array of events to disseminate Vietnam’s cuisine, culture and tourism in the “land of a thousand islands”.
Ambassador Hoang Anh Tuan also hoped such activities would contribute to boosting mutual understanding between the two countries’ people, creating a basic foundation for bilateral relations to thrive in the coming time.
After this event, Indonesian cuisine will be presented to Vietnam for two weeks.
