Int'l artists to join Cultural Tourism Festival in Hai Duong

This is the first time Hai Duong province hosts a festival to celebrate the new year.
The Xu Dong Cultural Tourism Festival will be held from December 29 to 31 and features, among other highlights, a street carnival with the participation of some 2,000 artists, inluding local artists and those from South Korea and Laos.

Also a number of activities, including exhibition of  local products such as Dong Giao – Cam Giang wood, Hoang Dieu – Gia Loc footwear, Chu Dau – Nam Sach pottery and Cay – Binh Giang pottery will be held.
Together with Hai Duong, some other cities and provinces in Vietnam’s central region will celebrate the New Year 2019 with prolific activities.
Quang Binh province offers travelers with 10% discount on all tour packages and services from December 20. Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park will host a street arts and cuisine festival from December 28 to 31, featuring water puppetry performances, a music show, and food courts showcasing delicious local dishes of the province. A count-down program will also be staged there on the evening of December 31.
Meanwhile, a program themed “Hoi An welcoming New Year 2019” will be held from December 24, 2018, to January 1, 2019, in Hoi An city.
During the program, Nguyen Phuc Chu street will be colourfully decorated and booths will be set up along the street to bring a taste of Hoi An to vacationers. There will also be arts performances, a dance contest, and a Taekwondo exchange between athletes from Hoi An and South Korea. A gala night will kick off at 9:30 pm on December 31 to bid farewell to 2018 and ring in New Year 2019.
