Speaking at the ceremony in Hanoi on December 3 to honour nearly 40 outstanding students who made high achievements at national, regional and international exams, Prime Minister (PM) Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his admiration for those living in difficult circumstances or remote and far-flung areas.
The ceremony aims to honour the achievements made by the students and their teachers while raising students’ responsibility for the country’s educational reform as well as national development.
The PM also hailed the Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) for its changes in training methods, contributing to improving Vietnam’s performance at regional and international competitions.
PM Phuc suggested the ministry make more comprehensive changes, especially higher education models, in order to train world-renowned engineers, technicians and men of culture.
