HCM City to unveil biggest Vietnamese crepe

The employees at Intermix are cooking up a 10 kilogram, 1.9 metre tall Vietnamese crepe – hoping to set a new world record for the Biggest Vietnamese Crepe.
So what is a Vietnamese Crepe? Well it kind of looks like an omelet – it is a crispy pan fried rice flour folded-over shell stuffed with pork, shrimp, duck, mushrooms, vegetables, coconut water, carrots, bean sprouts, green beans and scallions.
The crepe is scheduled to officially make its debut on February 12 as part of the festivities at the Binh Dien Spring Flower Festival in Ho Chi Minh City.
Intermix, a joint venture between Vietnamese Dai Phong Flour Milling Co and two Japanese firms, are making the crepe as part of a marketing effort to promote the company’s readymade crepe products shipped globally.
It could have been taller yet, but employees at Intermix decided not to risk adding any more to the wobbly masterpiece as they were afraid they would lose the whole thing.
