HCM City provides residents with real-time environmental indexes
Tran Mau 14:26, 2017/04/10
Authorities of Vietnam`s Ho Chi Minh City on Monday started offering its residents and visitors real-time information about air quality, noise, and quality of river and canal water.

The information is display on 53 LED (light emitting diode) boards along roads and streets in all districts. The data in red indicates that the environmental quality does not meet the criteria, and those in green mean the opposite, said the municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
In January, Hanoi capital city began providing its residents and visitors with real-time information about air quality, and areas which are raining or inundated. The information about automatically monitored environmental indexes is provided via the city's electronic portal.
