The Youth Union of Hanoi has made the detailed plans on voluntary activities to assist communities across the city and help ensure social security in 2016.
According to the plans, the main voluntary activities are campaigns of Youth Month, Summer Youth Volunteer and “Love Hanoi”
In addition, an array of other activities will take place this year, including “Tiep suc mua thi” (University entrance exam support), “Tiep suc den truong” (Give strength to students), “Mua he xanh” (Green Summer), “Hoa phuong do” (Red Flamboyant), “Ky nghi hong” (Red Vacation) and “Hanh quan xanh” programmes that are participated by young people from high school students to workers, lecturers, civil servants and military officers.
In 2016, the Hanoi Youth Union has also scheduled various charity events to support policy beneficiaries, people who rendered service to the nation and families of soldiers being on duty at border areas and islands, and to provide aid to schools in need.

Besides, the municipal Youth Union will hold programmes of blood donation and free health check-up.
In 2015, through “Tiep suc nguoi benh” (Give strength to patients) project, as many as 200 youth volunteers gave help for patients at the city's key hospitals.
The municipal youth unions provided free medical check-ups to more than 22,000 ethnic minority people, people with disabilities, the elderly, migrant workers and disadvantaged children and teenagers.
In particular, the city's Youth Union sent hundreds of its volunteer groups to help communities in Laos during the Summer Youth Volunteer campaign.
Approximately 12,000 youth volunteers participated in the 2015 university entrance exam support programme, providing the support for nearly 200,000 examinees and their families.
