Hall of Arts Club of National Economics University (NEU) early this month held the HOA24 musical titled "HOA" (FIRE) at the Dong Da District Center for Culture, Information and Sports with the attendance of over 500 people.

The story of a monster causing mysterious disappearances on the Trojan Express is told in the musical HOA (FIRE), which revolves around several key characters, including the journalist Marie, the cook and mother Dorothy, the young nobleman Alexandre, the wealthy woman Jullitte, the train owner Donovan, and the young boy Logan.

The play highlights the horrors of World War I, which brought suffering and loss to families in the affected regions, as well as the oppression and exploitation of the poor by the capitalists. Yet, amidst the darkness of that era, human compassion and the longing for the warmth of the family shines through.

Writer Marie Darcy is on a journey to find new inspiration.

While HOA begins with a dark mystery, it unfolds with an unexpected focus on family. Marie searches for her long-lost family, Logan is a lonely orphan, noblewoman Juliette and her son Alex share a complex bond, and a grandmother-granddaughter pair travel with deep affection for one another. These relationships reflect different family models and underscore the powerful influence family has on each individual. The existential message, "No matter who we are, all we have to do is find a place where we belong," adds depth to the Hall of Arts' storytelling.

Through HOA (FIRE), the Hall of Arts aims to demonstrate that despite the challenges, their mission is to strike a balance between serving the public and satisfying their artistic aspirations. After all, that's what art is all about.

The musical is produced by a club of young, passionate students.

The play satisfied even the most demanding audience with its professional preparation, outstanding acting and excellent music, all of which brought deep emotions to the audience in the auditorium that day.
