Hanoi’s cultural sector to show outstanding characteristics

Attending and speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc highly appreciated the achievements of the Hanoi’s sector of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2014.The remarkable performance of the sector last years is sery of cultural activities celebrating the 60th anniversary of Capital Liberation Day, 15 years Hanoi recognized as the city for peace.
Besides, in 2014, Hanoi has invested more than VND670 billion to repair and renovate 121 monuments in the municipal area.
The number of domestic and foreign tourists that Hanoi’s tourism sector receive in 2014 increased strongly in the comparison to number of 2013 (nearly 18 million domestic visitors and 3.1 million international visitors).
Sports field has also achieved a lot of high achievement, confirming the Hanoi’s leading position of sport.
However, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc required the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to revise the work, cultural norms in the 2011-2015 period.
The Vice Chairman asked the Department to review the contents of the Program number 04 of the municipal Party Committee, learning by experiences for the implementation of tasks in the 2015-2020 period.
In 2015, the Hanoi’s Cultural, Sports and Tourism industry will continue to perform effectively the Program number 04 of the municipal Party Committee and schemes approved by the municipal People Committee; Carry out the tasks in the “Year of urban oder and civilization - 2015".
However, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc required the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to revise the work, cultural norms in the 2011-2015 period.
