Hanoi's CPI rises for the last two consecutive months

Hanoi`s consumer price index (CPI) in April rose by 0.2% compared to the previous month and up 0.74% against the same period last year.
Hanoi's CPI has increased for the last two consecutive months, mainly due to jumps in the prices of transportation by 2.5%, and housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials by 1.84%.

In April, home appliances, garments and footwear saw slight increases of 0.34% and 0.25%, respectively. 
This month food prices decreased 0.72% due to profuse supply and hot weather. 
Earlier, HCM City reported a CPI growth of 0.03% in April from the previous month and 0.8% against the same period last year.
