According to Social Evil Prevention and Control Board of the Hanoi Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, recently, a task force of the municipal police made an unannounced check on Next Top Club, discovered a number of violations.

The club has not yet conducted periodical health examinations for the staff or provided social insurance for those who have been working for the club for over three months.

Also, the club failed to show receipts for 76 imported wine bottles. Meanwhile, it advertises alcohol of over 30% alcohol and failed to submit the original document related to its conditioned business.

According to the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment, the business areas of Grand Plaza Hanoi Ltd. Co. do not include the lease of its space for entertainment and artistic performance.

The club has not yet been granted a certificate on meeting security and ordered requirements for the approved business activities.

For these violations, the Hanoi’s People Committee has instructed the municipal Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs for put a stop to the club’s operations.

After being suspended, Viet Minh Nam Ltd. Co. which manages the club said that they believed in Grand Plaza Hanoi Ltd. Co., and so signed a contract to hire their basement to the club which cost an investment of tens of billions of VND. However, they did not know that Grand Plaza Ltd. Co. did not have a permit to lease its space for entertainment activities.

On August 22, the club held a dance performance of model and actress Angela Phuong Trinh, who danced scantily-clad. As a result, she has been temporarily suspended from performing and the club, and was fined VND3.5 million (USD167).

Also, in May last year, a murder occurred at the club, and injuries inflicted on the club’s body guard Tran Van Nghiem.
