After the terrible typhoon Yagi swept through Hanoi, the Red River tidal flats were miraculously revived and turned into a bright yellow field of flowers.

These days, locals and visitors to Hanoi are thrilled to see the vibrant fields of yellow cosmos flowers blooming at the foot of the iconic Long Bien Bridge.

In the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi, the previously flooded wasteland on the tidal flats of the Red River has undergone a stunning transformation in just over a month. What was once a desolate, backward landscape has blossomed into a breathtaking expanse of yellow cosmos.

Located in Phuc Xa Ward, Hoan Kiem District, these vibrant flower fields cover an impressive 10 hectares at the foot of Long Bien Bridge.
The nature restoration project was carried out by local associations such as the Women's Union, Veterans' Association, Youth Union and residents.
"his alluvial land is prone to flooding when the water level of the Red River rises too high. When it is not flooded, it can be transformed into a gorgeous flower field, providing a wonderful place of entertainment and relaxation for tourists and local residents.
This alluvial area of the Red River experiences three months of flooding each year, followed by nine months of drought.

According to the plans of the authorities, this region will become a tourist development area of the capital, contributing to the livelihood and income of the surrounding communities.

The lush flower fields thrive thanks to the dedicated care of local residents.
In late autumn and early winter, the fields of yellow cosmos bloom brilliantly under the soft light of dawn.
This stunning landscape quickly captures the attention of young people and photography enthusiasts alike.
The flower field attracts a large number of visitors on weekends.
With the efforts of the local authorities and residents, it is hoped that this area will become a sought-after tourist destination, attracting visitors from far and wide.
