The local authorities would continue to map out favorable policies for the newspaper to realize its growth vision, the Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong has said.

On the occasion of the 96th Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 – June 21, 2021), Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong visited the Kinh te & Do thi (Economic & Urban) Newspaper and The Hanoi Times.

“Press agencies, including the Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper/The Hanoi Times, have contributed a significant part to the development of Hanoi,” said Phong.

“The newspaper has been excelling in its mission by timely delivering news and information of the city to the public,” he added.

Amid the serious Covid-19 situation, Phong called for the Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper to continue adopting new modern journalism trends and contributing to the development of Hanoi in particular, and the country in general.

At the meeting, the Editor-in-chief of the Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper Nguyen Minh Duc said the newspaper is determined to fulfill its role as the mouthpiece of the municipal People’s Committee.

Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper is taking on the digital transformation which has been an inevitable trend in a fast-changing world,” Duc added, saying he looks for continued support from the city’s leaders to complete this process.
