In order to solve the issue of overcrowding in hospitals in Hanoi, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment proposed a temporary medical wards for patients with measles
Dr. Nguyen Trong Khoa, deputy head of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment ordered the National Children Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital and Saint Paul Hospital to build temporary wards to quarantine the patients.
There has been drastic increase of rate of infection for the disease in Hanoi. The pediatrics department of Bach Mai Hospital has 15 patients admitted suffering from pneumonia and conjunctivitis due to complications from measles.
The Infectious Department of the National Children Hospital treated over 200 children with breathing issues due to pneumonia in the past two months.
