Hanoi to promote tourism on CNN channel

Hanoi People`s Committee has issued a notice announcing the conclusion of Vice Chairman Ngo Van Quy on the implementing Hanoi`s tourism promotion on CNN channel.
The municipal People's Committee issued a notice of conclusions of Vice Chairman Ngo Van Quy on tasks of the city's tourism promotion on CNN, pilot the building of logo, instructions of tourism products, and draft plans to implement the municipal Party's resolution on tourism development for the period 2016 - 2020.
According to the Vice Chairman, the municipal Party Committee has issued the resolution on the city`s tourism development for between 2016 - 2020, which is considered to be the strategic orientation to make tourism more sustainable and a key industry.
The resolution on the municipal tourism development from 2016 to 2020 identifies clearly to build high-quality, professional and concentrated tourism sector.

Particularly, the city's tourism should be attached to the developing of culture, creating a foundation to develop various types of travel.
The city will review the planning for tourism development till 2020 and orientation to 2030, make the planning for 6 travel clusters, including: The Hanoi Central; Suoi Hai - Ba Vi; Huong Son - Quan Son; Soc Mountain - Dong Quan Lake; Van Tri - Co Loa; Ha Dong and the vicinity.
Hanoi targets to welcome 30 million visitors, including 5.7 million international passengers, tourism growth rate will reach from 8-10% annually, and gaining 120,000 billion VND from tourism revennue by 2020.
The key target is to attract more visitors to the capital, especially foreign tourists so that they will extend their longer staying and increase spending.
To draw more foreign visitors to Hanoi, the city's tourism promotion on CNN channel is considered to be one of the most effective and necessary solutions, according to Hanoi People's Committee.
The municipal Department of Tourism was assigned to work with related agencies to prepare for the upcoming meeting between the Chairman of Hanoi city and CNN Business Manager in the Southeast Asia region.
The city's authorities approved the proposal of the municipal Department of Tourism and relevant departments to pilot building logo, signposts and tourism products in urban areas and two traditional villages of Bat Trang ceramics and Van Phuc silk.
