Hanoi to host festival reproducing ethnic cultural identities

"Colours of Spring from every corner of the country" festival will be organised from ​February 10-15 (the third to eighth day of the first lunar month) at Hanoi`s Vietnamese Ethnic Groups Culture-Tourism Village.
The annual festival aims to reproduce unique festivals and traditional cultural identities to welcome the Lunar New Year (Tet) holidays of ethnic minority groups across the country.
 The management board of the Vietnamese Ethnic Groups Culture-Tourism Village said the Cham tower complex and Khmer pagodas will open to the public on the first and second day of the Lunar New Year. 
From February 10-11 (the third to fourth day of the first lunar month), the culture, customs, traditions, folk art performances, dances and folk games of the ethnic groups of Thai, Muong as well as other destinations like the Cham Tower relic and Khmer's temple will be introduced to visitors at the village.

The "Colours of Spring from every corner of the country" festival will officially kick off From ​February 12-15 (the fifth to eighth day of the first lunar month). 
The festival will draw the participation of exemplary heads of villages and hamlets, intellectuals and artisans from various ethnic minorities.
The festival will make a chance for visitors to learn more about cultural characteristics, customs and preparations for Tet of Thai, Muong, Mong, Tay, Giay and Ede groups. 
The festival is an opportunity for ethnic minority groups to meet and exchange cultural values and daily life activities. It also contributes to honouring and preserving the traditional culture of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups.
On the occasion, the ethnic minority people and artisans will also perform folk songs, dances and games, including nem con, tug-of-war and dances with bamboo pole. 
Besides, participants of the festival can enjoy and learn how to cook delicious dishes and specialties served during Tet, make traditional handicrafts of the groups.
