Hanoi to ensure traffic safety and order in auto transportation business
The Hanoi Department of Transport has recently issued a document on enhancing traffic safety and order in auto transportation business.
Under the document, the Department requests the Sector of Transport Safety, Transport Inspectorate, Motor Vehicle Registration and Inspection Center, units dealing with auto transportation businesses and bus stations in Hanoi, to strictly follow legal regulations on road traffic safety and order.

The units exploiting bus stations in Hanoi will regularly provide information through the loudspeaker system and on news boards at the bus stations, thus enhancing transport safety and realizing regulation on transport management;
The Hanoi Department of Transport’s Inspectorate in collaboration with Noi Bai International Airport and authorities will enhance examination, detect violation of transport business at the airport, and punish the violators severely according to the law.
They also increase cooperation with bus stations in Hanoi to check transportation business condition, take severe punishment for vehicles with improper horns and lights; review data by auto tracking devices, severely punishing violators, focusing on infractions of overtime rule and speeding.
The Motor Vehicle Registration and Inspection Center will check technical safety and environmental safety of the vehicles according to regulation, and severely punish truck owners who set up horns and lamps improperly against original design of the trucks.
The Office of Traffic Safety Committee in collaboration with news agencies and relevant units will increase popularization and education, encourage people to strictly follow legal regulations on traffic safety and order.
At the same time, they encourage the implementation of traffic accidents prevention measures, transportation enterprises to increase their awareness and responsibility in complying with traffic safety regulations.
