The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is tasked to coordinate with communication units and collectives to give guidelines on producing safe agricultural products to farmers; popularize knowledge and communication skills for food safety; instruct local enterprises to apply the advanced manufacturing process and management system, such as VietGAP, GlobalGAP, etc.
The Department of Industry and Trade cooperates with relevant units to instruct food enterprises and producers, processors and traders to strengthen the application of advanced management systems, such as ISO, HACCP, etc.
The Department of Information and Communications is responsible for effectively promoting communication on food safety under diversified methods; asking subordinate divisions to report information of food safety in the capital city; enhancing the popularization of Law on Food Safety among local people.
People’s Committees of districts, towns will request People’s Committees of communes, wards and press agencies to strengthen the popularization of food safety; continue carrying out the communication program “Join hands for food safety” in accordance with the Plan No. 203/KH-UBND dated November 30, 2015 of the Municipal People’s Committee for the 2015-2020 period.
