Hanoi sterilizes streets in downtown amid concerns of coronavirus outbreak
The Hanoi authorities will put all resources into the fight against the coronavirus.

The Chemical Army under the Ministry of National Defence and the Hanoi Capital High Command on July 26 sprayed disinfectant at all main streets in the Old Quarter to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic in Hanoi is now complicated and unpredictable, putting the capital city at high risk of contagion. The municipal authorities have affirmed that no efforts would be spared to fight against the pandemic.

The Hanoi Capital High Command prepares to spray disinfectant in ten downtown wards in Hoan Kiem District and around Hoan Kiem Lake.

The army force is going to work closely with local forces to develop plans and identify high-risk areas for disinfection.

The army force will spray disinfectant at every corner of the streets. For high-rise buildings, they will use an extension cable.
