The Spring Press Festival – Hanoi 2024 opened today [January 29] at the Friendship Cultural Palace in the heart of the capital, bringing together almost all media outlets in Hanoi.
The festival showcases press publications released on the occasion of Tet or the Lunar New Year – the most significant holiday for the Vietnamese people.
The two-day event is expected to disseminate information about the Party, State, and city’s development, encourage all strata to contribute to national building, and listen to feedback from the audiences.
It will encourage the central and the city media to promote Hanoi’s achievements in different fields, including politics, foreign affairs, socio-economic development, defense and security, science and technology, and innovation, among others.
Apart from displaying Spring publications, the event marks a wide range of activities, including experience exchange and the presentation of the Ngo Tat To Award 2023, the major press award that honors coverage on different aspects of life and has a history of 30 years.
Economic & Urban Newspaper joins the festival with a well-decorated booth and several prizes from the Ngo Tat To Awards, including the first one.
This is also an opportunity to choose the best Spring publications, beautiful covers, impressive displays and booths at the festival. At the same time, the organizing committee will award “Good Articles about Hanoi” published in newspapers in the spring.
Notably, the spring publications will be given to the Border Guard Command to serve soldiers on duty in border areas and islands.
The Spring Press Festival – Hanoi 2024 will also celebrate the country’s major anniversaries this year, including the 70 years of the capital city’s liberation and the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.
The best publications selected at the event will be displayed at the National Press Festival to be held in Ho Chi Minh City in March 2024.
