Hanoi researchs a plan of urban development along Hong River's banks
Hanoi People`s Committee has approved the report of the RoK-sponsored technical assistance project, "Strategy on urban development planning along Red River`s banks from Thang Long Bridge to Long Bien Bridge."
The Republic of Korea will help Hanoi survey some 3,000ha of land along the banks of the Hong River to plan the municipal urban development.
The project will examine the theoretical and practical aspects of urban development in Hanoi and review urban planning and development policies.
It will also recommend development planning measures for the 11-km-long area along the banks of the Hong River.
The stakeholders, including Hanoi Institute of Construction and Planning, Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements and Korea Bank, have worked together to ensure a smooth run for the project.
The municipal relevant departments and agencies has been required to cooperate with the organisations involved in the project, especially in sharing data.
The total expense of the project is funded by the Korean government.
