Hanoi Red Cross Society to sign a cooperation program on humanitarian activities
The Hanoi Red Cross Society in collaboration with the Center for Vocational Training and Employment Consultancy for Disadvantaged Youths (REACH) yesterday organized a ceremony, signing a cooperation program on humanitarian activities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Red Cross Society Nguyen Sy Truong expected that the cooperation will create more jobs for people in difficult circumstances to sustainably escape the poverty.
Accordingly, both parties will jointly deploy vocational training programs for youths at the age of 18-30 in difficult circumstances in districts, towns, humanitarian centers managed by the Hanoi Red Cross Society and other programs.
After considering and evaluating difficult circumstances, youths will be donated fees of vocational training courses in the REACH. These courses will last from three to six months with various occupations, including: Website design, graphics, marketing and sale, food processing, etc. All participants will be enriched skills of living, job application and able to participate in final internship programs in enterprises connecting to the REACH.
Along with communication, the Red Cross Society will tightly cooperate with the REACH in training skills, introducing jobs after graduation, evaluating and monitoring efficiency of the program. According to Manager of the REACH’s programs Dao Tuan Dung, the center trains vocational skills for 1,095 youths every year. Especially, 80% of them get stable jobs after six months.
