The culprit in th joss paper case is Tran Van Phong, 29, a taxi driver of Vietnam Star, who repaid to two tourists fake money.

A day later, the two Spanish tourists took a taxi from the mostel to Hang Thung street for a tour to Sapa. That was when Miguel paid for the taxi ride that the driver said the money was “joss paper” that was worthless.
The incident happened in Long Bien district, so the Hoan Kiem district police handed over this case to the Long Bien district police so that they continue to investigate and handle the case.
