The Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee today [June 7] appointed Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Le Hong Son to temporarily replace the suspended Chairman Chu Ngoc Anh for the time being.

Under the decision, Son will be in charge of the city’s operation to ensure the leadership and operation of the municipal People’s Committee.
The Hanoi People’s Council on the same day voted unanimously to remove the Chairman from the office, citing violations of Party and State regulations as the reason.
