The 7th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF 2024) is expected to make headlines with vitality and motivation to the development of Vietnam's film industry.

The HANIFF 2024 will take place from November 7 to 11 and aims to attract a large number of local and international moviegoers.

Highlights of the biennial film festival include a movie contest, a film-screening program, conferences on film, and the event called ‘One Country Film Introductory’ that features German cinema.

There will also be a "Film Project Market" where local film producers, directors, and screenwriters can present their projects to investors and domestic and foreign film experts. The market organizers will award three outstanding film projects from countries in the region and five outstanding film projects from Vietnam.

In addition, participants in the film festival will also have a chance to join some side activities, including outdoor film screening programs, exchanges with actors and actresses, and sightseeing tours to some attractive destinations in Hanoi, among others.

The five-day film festival will offer Vietnamese filmmakers a great chance to expand their careers, learn from their experiences, and get a taste of the global, regional, and Vietnamese film markets.

The HANIFF 2024 also aims to pay tribute to outstanding films, encourage new film talents, and significantly promote Hanoi's image as a safe, friendly, peaceful, hospitable, integrated, and developing city.

As planned, part of this year's film festival will be held in some outdoor spaces, such as Tran Nhan Tong pedestrian street and Ly Thai To Flower Garden in downtown Hanoi.
