Hosted by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade and the Long Bien District People's Committee, the fair will run until April 24.

In addition to other Vietnamese products, the fair will feature more than 100 booths selling consumer goods, handicraft village products, agricultural, forestry and fishery commodities, safe organic food certified by the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, and regional delicacies.

Speaking at the opening of the event on April 20, Nguyen Kieu Oanh, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade, said that through the Vietnam Goods Week program, local businesses will have better opportunities to showcase quality products, promote trade links, and stimulate consumer demand.

"Local visitors attending the fair will be able to purchase quality made-in-Vietnam goods," she added.

Oanh stressed that local businesses participating in the Vietnamese Goods Week program are required not to offer fake, counterfeit, or substandard goods, thereby protecting the interests of consumers and producers.

Delegates attend the opening launch of the event on April 20.

Earlier, Hanoi also hosted a fair to promote many agricultural specialties and materials from 17 localities nationwide in the pedestrian zone around the ancient citadel of Son Tay from April 14 to 17.

With more than 2,000 agricultural materials and equipment, safe agricultural products, and those from OCOP and handicraft villages from Hanoi and other provinces and cities, the fair provided an opportunity for stakeholders, businesses, and households to strengthen trade relations, promote brands and trade, and find new customers and markets.
