The festival had 140 booths of businesses from 29 cities and provinces including Ha Giang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Son La, Bac Ninh, Ha Nam, Haiphong and Hung Yen, others.
The typical OCOP products of Hanoi gathered at this program included seafood, tea, coffee, processed food, agricultural products, and others.
Businesses from Hung Yen Province introduced honey, lotus seeds, longan, dried bananas, Dong Tao chicken, and turmeric starch. Those from the northern province of Bac Kan have brought to the fair OCOP-certified agricultural products with three-star level or more such as Shan Tuyet tea, honey, and zucchini.
Participants from the southern provinces of Gia Lai, Lam Dong, and Dak Nong are showcasing specialty products such as coffee, macadamia nuts, strawberry, and raspberry juice.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on July 22, Nguyen Anh Duong, Director of the Hanoi Centre for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion (HPA), said: “The program is expected to be an opportunity for participating units to widely promote their brands and products to visitors and consumers in the capital, thereby contributing to enhancing brand value, diversifying OCOP products associated with local tourism as well as promoting agricultural economic development and building new-style rural areas.”
Through this activity, the HPA will support businesses to introduce and connect OCOP products to OCOP showrooms in the city, creating opportunities for units to access the modern retail system, he added.
The three-day fair also attracted visitors to many activities such as tasting food at the booth and making OCOP products on-site.
