It's part of the city's plan to promote sales of local craft villages and farm produce this year in some suburban districts of Soc Son, Ba Vi, Ung Hoa, and Dan Phuong.
According to Nguyen Manh Quyen, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, the event is expected to strengthen trade links between Hanoi and other localities nationwide in the consumption of agricultural products, and link tourism promotion activities to contribute to raising the brand value and preserving traditional craft villages.
The event will feature 300 booths showcasing typical products of Dong Anh District, goods certified by the One Commune One Product Program (OCOP), regional specialties, handicrafts, and Hanoi cuisine.
Visitors to the fair can experience traditional art performances and folk games, cultural exchanges among ethnic groups, and on-site production of OCOP products.
The activities are aimed at realizing Hanoi's Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Program in 2023, as well as the Agriculture and Rural Tourism Development Plan linked to the new style of rural development in the city in 2022-2025.
