Hainan Province (China) hopes to welcome more Vietnamese tourists in the near future, according to the Hainan Provincial People's Government Office at a cultural and tourism promotion event titled "Hello China, Sunshine Hainan" on June 17 in Hanoi.

The event, organized by the Hainan Provincial Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports, attracted a large number of delegates, tour operators in Hanoi, and members of the UNESCO Vietnam Travel Club.
Talking about the connectivity and tourism development potential between Hainan and Vietnam, a representative of the Chinese agency said that there are currently four direct flights from Vietnam to Hainan, including Haikou - Nha Trang, Haikou - Ho Chi Minh City, Haikou - Hanoi and Sanya - Hanoi. Hainan receives an average of 80 million domestic and international tourists every year.
The event aimed to enhance exchanges and cooperation in the fields of tourism and culture, as well as improve mutual understanding between the two sides.
At the event, the Hainan Provincial People's Government Office provided information on the destination and attractive tourism products of Hainan Province, focusing on the cities of Haikou, Baoting, and Sanya.
Truong Quoc Hung, Chairman of the Hanoi UNESCO Travel Club, expressed his hope for the potential development of the tourism market between the two sides in the coming period.
He emphasized that more direct flights between Vietnam and China will facilitate closer cooperation between Vietnamese and Hainan tour operators in product development and destination promotion, helping to increase visitor exchanges and grow tourism in both Hainan and Vietnam.
