Hanoi honors outstanding enterprises
Hanoi Association of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Hanoisme) yesterday organized an `Enterprise Night 2016` program to commend over 150 outstanding enterprises for their achievements as well as great contributions to the Capital’s economy in 2016.
Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue presented Labor Orders, third class, and the PM’s Certificates of Merit to four enterprises.

The program with the theme ‘For Community – For Enterprises – Connection for Prosperity’ saw the attendance of Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Vu Tien Loc, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toan, among others.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of Hanoisme said that, in 2016, Hanoisme has collaborated with relevant agencies of center and city to concretize solutions to improve the business environment.

The association co-operated with Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Taxation, Customs Department and relevant departments, sectors to organize six conferences to timely remove difficulties and obstacles, develop policies supporting to enterprises, drawing the participation of over 2,000 enterprises in the area.
Additionally, the association also organized 15 investment and trade promotion programs, and actively responded to the “Buy Vietnamese goods” campaign and “Hanoi promotion month”.
In the framework of the event, a seminar was held to discuss the way of improving the business environment for businesses, youth entrepreneurship dialogue, opportunities and challenges

He stressed that, in 2016, the number of newly established enterprises in Ha Noi reached 23,000 with a total capital of VND203.760 billion, a year-on-year increase of 42%. Out of over 200,000 enterprises operating in the capital, 97% are small and medium-sized, contributing over 40% to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the city.
Hanoisme should continue to enhance economic connection and exchange between enterprises; propose solutions and consult the city to develop specific and practical policies and to support businesses, he added. Vice Chairman Toan affirmed that the city leaders always accompany and create the most favorable conditions for businesses, entrepreneurs.
Phu My Group and the Capital Lottery Limited Company received Labour Orders, third class; Noi Water Supply No. 2 Joint Stock Company and Hanoi Lighting and Urban Equipment Limited Company received the PM’s Certificates of Merit.

On the occasion, enterprises donated nearly VND2 billion to the ‘Fund for the Poor’ launched by the Hanoi municipal Fatherland Front Committee.
