Hanoi encourages cooperation for cinema development
The Hanoi People`s Committee held a Gala Dinner to welcome the fifth Hanoi International Film Festival on October 29, at the Temple of Literature.
Hanoi always encourages cooperation for cinema development, said Vice Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Ngo Van Quy when delivering a speech at the Gala Dinner.
The fifth Hanoi International Film Festival is one of the major cultural events taking place in Hanoi in 2018. The festival will draw the attendance of more than 1,000 artists, actors and actresses and producers from 50 countries and territories, with 140 films competing. The festival runs from October 27 to October 31.
Speaking at the Gala Dinner, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Ngo Van Quy sent greetings to domestic and international artists, directors, actresses and actors.
Besides, Quy recognized the good feelings that international directors, actors and filmmakers have given to Vietnam, and helped strengthen the solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding among the cultures of the world.
With the slogan of "Cinema - Integration and sustainable development", the fifth Hanoi International Film Festival is an opportunity for countries to exchange experience on film production technology and business cooperation for cinematographic works with high artistic value, encourage the new talents in cinema, Quy added.
He also stressed that the festival is also a great opportunity for Vietnam to introduce its own works to the world cinema. It has contributed to promoting the spirit of compassion, encouraging cooperation between filmmakers, directors and actors, for the common prosperity development of cinema.
