Hanoi Department of Construction to be in charge of rural clean water
The Hanoi People’s Committee issues Decision No. 2480/QĐ-UBND, assigning the Department of Construction to act as advisor to the Municipal People’s Committee in managing rural water in the Capital.
Under the Decision, the Department of Construction is responsible for the following tasks:Submitting state management papers on rural water to the Municipal People’s Committee, so that the latter will consider and issue them according to the law.

Managing the exploitation, use and protection of rural water works; verifying, amending, supplementing and making economic, technical report of investment projects on building, improving and fixing rural water works according to legal regulations and regulations of Hanoi.
Acting as member of the committee of handing over rural water works in Hanoi.
Verifying, or taking part in verification of projects on building, fixing, improving rural water projects.
The Department of Construction will perform the task in two years since the Decision takes effect. After that, the Department of Construction will assess the outcome and report to the Municipal People’s Committee, so that the latter will report to the Government.
The Municipal People’s Committee requests Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to hand over all dossiers and papers relating to rural water management to the Department of Construction. Problem must be reported to the Municipal People’s Committee.
The Department of Construction receives dossiers and papers, and implements the tasks. Center of Rural Water and Environmental Sanitation under the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in collaboration with authorities under the Department of Construction to perform the tasks.
