The festival aims to showcase Hanoi's beauty, cultural and historical values, and tourist attractions by highlighting its unique and fascinating features. It will celebrate and pay tribute to the capital's famous landmarks, historical sites, and cultural heritage. This is the second time the Hanoi Autumn Festival has been held in the city.
This year's festival will highlight Hanoi's unique cultural heritage, considered the essence of the nation with its distinctive characteristics. The event will be staged at several key locations, including Ba Kieu Temple, Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Ly Thai To Flower Garden, and Le Thach Street in Hoan Kiem District.
In particular, the festival will feature an impressive exhibition that recreates a pivotal moment in Hanoi's history: Liberation Day on October 10, 1954, when Hanoians waved flags and flowers to welcome the victorious army marching into the capital. It offers visitors and residents an opportunity to reflect on the nation's glorious traditions and take pride in Hanoi’s rich heritage.

The "Hanoi of 12 Flower Seasons" exhibition showcases the vibrant beauty of Hanoi's seasonal flowers. Visitors will experience the bright peach blossoms of spring, the shy pink lotus of summer, the golden chrysanthemums of fall, and the pure white apricot blossoms of winter.
The Hanoi Culinary Delights area will feature Hanoi specialties such as Pho Bat Dan or Bat Dan Noodle Soup with Beef, Bun cha Hang Manh or Grilled Pork with Noodles from Hang Manh Street, and Banh cuon Thanh Tri or Steamed Rice Crepe from Thanh Tri District, among many others.
In particular, the festival will display miniatures of famous Hanoi landmarks, including the Hanoi Flagpole, Uoc Le Village Gate, Long Bien Bridge, and Quan Chuong Gate, among others.
Various performances and parades will be organized with contributions from the city's Youth Union and 30 districts and cities. There will be lion and dragon dances from Thanh Oai District, a mid-autumn lantern parade from Son Tay District, kite flying from Dong Anh District, flower displays from Me Linh District and water puppet shows from Te Tieu Village in My Duc District.

There will be folk and sports dances, a fashion show of Ao Dai or Vietnamese traditional long dress, a children's parade, and children's drawing and painting exhibitions.
In addition, various districts with tourism potential will showcase their cultural and tourism products and destinations at the stage area and festival booths.
As a prelude to the four-day festival, an art performance titled "Historical Autumn" will be held on September 19 in front of the Monument of Determined Resistance for National Survival.
