HAC, now in its sixth edition, features a range of artistic activities including painting workshops, printmaking, sculpture, installation, and others. This year, 80 international artists from 30 countries are participating in this highly professional event, together with 70 colleagues from Vietnam.
Hanoi Art Connecting, held annually in Vietnam and other Asian countries, was initiated by artist Trinh Tuan, Asia Art Link - an artist community in Asia, with the participation of many artists from different countries in the ASEAN region, Asia, Europe, and America.
This year, the event brings together famous artists such as Le Huy Tiep, Phan Cam Thuong, Vu Dinh Tuan, Cong Kim Hoa, Trinh Minh Tien (Vietnam); Kamol Tassananchalee (Thailand); Fil Dela Cruz (Philippines); Edi Sunaryo (Indonesia); Carolyn Muskat, Don McKinney (USA) as well as many professors and lecturers from famous art universities around the world.

For one week, artists in painting, printmaking, and sculpture will create right on-site. Students, teachers, and the art-loving public can come and see the artists at work in person.
At the same time, the program includes seminars on art from folk to contemporary, as well as the exploration of other artistic fields. There will also be visits to individual studios, galleries, art exhibitions, and Hanoi landmarks to learn about Vietnam's historical art culture.
According to the organizer, the event, as its name suggests, serves as a "bridge" for artists, especially Vietnamese artists. Through HAC's activities, artists can evaluate their positions and aesthetic perspectives, understand their strengths and limitations in creating artwork, and co-create with international artists.
