These young volunteers are all in good health and fully vaccinated against Covid-19. They are also knowledgeable about Vietnamese culture, history, and people, as well as proficient in foreign languages.
They have already been trained by the Organizing Committee and are ready to perform any task assigned by the HCYU of Hanoi and the Organizing Committee of SEA Games 31 by the time of the Games.
In addition, The HCYU of Hanoi created a Facebook page for SEA Games 31’s volunteers at https://www.facebook.com/tnvseagames31hanoi, which frequently updates the capital city’s preparations for the Games. The channel has received 300,000 hits in the past week.
Over the past weeks, units of the Youth Union in Hanoi have held the “Volunteering Day of Saturday”, “Green Sunday”, “Green Traffic”, and “Thang Long-Hanoi Tourism Support Team”, among other activities to embellish streets, regulate traffic and support tourism events.
Themed “For a stronger South East Asia”, SEA Games 31 will run from May 12 to 23 in 12 provinces and cities throughout Vietnam, of which, Hanoi is the main host holding the opening and closing ceremonies of the SEA Games, sideline events and most of the competitions of the games.
