“The stamp set will be widely distributed, with the aim of promoting the 31st SEA Games as well as the position of Vietnamese sports among the wide public at home and abroad,” it stated.

The set of graphic stamps was designed by artists Tran The Vinh and Nguyen Du from Vietnam Post Corporation. The stamp is 43x32 mm, while the block is 80x100 mm.

The athletes depicted on the stamps show their determination for victory as well as fierce competitive spirit in sports.

The stamp background features the ASEAN symbol, representing the solidarity of the regional countries which are on their way to prosperity and development. Meanwhile, the logo and mascot of SEA Games 31 are also vividly printed on the stamps.

The stamp set of the 31st Southeast Asian Games will be widely distributed on the postal network nationally and internationally from May 12, 2022, to December 31, 2023, at the prices of VND4,000 (US$0.17) for a single stamp and VND15,000 ($0.65) for the stamp block.

This is the second time Vietnam has hosted the SEA Games, which will take place in Hanoi and 11 neighboring localities from May 6 to 23.

Vietnam's first set of stamps themed SEA Games was released by the Ministry of Information and Communications on July 1, 2003.
