Ha Ji Won to smile for a cause in Vietnam

Korean actress Ha Ji Won will be joined by an all-star lineup of illustrious celebrities at a gala event in Hanoi on November 15-16 commemorating the 25th anniversary of Operation Smile in Vietnam.
Notable attendees for the evening will include Miss Vietnam 2012 Dang Thu Thao, Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy along with the ever so popular singers My Linh and Kathy Uyen.
 

Since first coming to Vietnam in 1989, Operation Smile has impacted thousands of lives of children and young adults throughout the country. Its mission is to perform safe and effective cleft palate and lip surgery in addition to related medical services.

At the event, Ha Ji Won will lead the fund raising and a charity auction is planned with all funds used in support of Operation Smile in Vietnam.

Ha Ji Won is the first Asian woman and second Asian celebrity after Jackie Chan to be appointed as an ambassador for Operation Smile. The Korean star is famous for her films Sex is Zero, Hwang Jini and Empress Ki.
