Gov’t prepares for Tet holidays

PM Nguyen Tan Dung today has sent a telegram asking ministries, agencies and localities to prepare for the upcoming Lunar New Year festival, which is the country`s biggest holiday.

 
The Government chief requested the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Health and localities to prevent price hike; inspect food hygiene and safety and tackle smuggling efficiently.

The Ministry of Public Security is in charge of launching a campaign to combat crime; preventing fires and maintain social order.

Local authorities are responsible for taking care of people with merit, the poor, ethnic minority people and social welfare beneficiaries.

The PM also requested public offices and agencies to quickly resume operation after Tet holidays.
