German beer festival to rock Hanoi this October
In Hanoi, the festival will continue to take place at the lake side area of JW Marriott Hanoi Hotel for over 3 nights October 11-13, 2018, from 6pm to 11pm.
26 years ago in 1992, the German business community in Vietnam gathered together and brought to Vietnam one of the most popular social and cultural events from Germany, the ‘Oktoberfest’. This set the important milestone to Vietnam’s event calendar, and the Oktoberfest has now become one of the most awaited celebrations that every year, welcomes more than 9,000 expats and locals over 6 evenings in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
The event is co-hosted by the German Businesses Association (GBA), the Delegate of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam) under the patronage of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hanoi.
The GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam 2018 will start first in Ho Chi Minh City, for over 4 days from 19 to 22 September 2018 at Hotel Nikko Saigon. In Hanoi, the festival will continue to take place at the lake side area of JW Marriott Hanoi Hotel for over 3 nights October 11-13, 2018, from 6pm to 11pm. This year 2018 marks the 5th cooperation between the German Business Association (GBA) and JW Marriott Hanoi in organizing the traditional German cultural event – GBA Oktoberfest in Hanoi.
GBA Oktoberfest 2018 in Hanoi will bring an opportunity to enjoy the original festive atmosphere with German dishes, German authentic beer and join in the lucky draw with many valuable prizes. Coming to our GBA Oktoberfest 2018, guests can enjoy a buffet of premium German cuisine that will delight and excite the tastebuds, as well as free-flow premium beers. Authentic music and entertaining show-acts are performed by the popular Munich-based ‘AntonShow Band’.
Thomas Debelic – Chairman of the GBA says: “We are happy and proud to announce the 26th GBA Oktoberfest in Vietnam, continuing the tradition founded by the German business community many years ago. We have continuously worked on improving the setting in order to create an authentic atmosphere in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. For the past three years the GBA Oktoberfest in Ho Chi Minh City has been upscaled with an original German beer tent, with German beer, German music and German food. We are looking forward to welcoming you at the original German Oktoberfest!”
