General Secretary To Lam leaves for first overseas visit

This is the first overseas visit after the Vietnamese leader held the post of the Party chief.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and State President To Lam on Sunday morning [August 18] left Hanoi for a three-day visit to China.

The general secretary and his wife visited China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his spouse.
