On November 23, Moscow time, the General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and high-level delegation of Vietnam to Moscow, began his official visit to Russia at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin. Official welcoming ceremony was held solemnly at Vnukovo airport.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Russian President's Special Representative Igor Morgulov, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam, ASEAN Ambassadors to the Russian Federation along with numerous Vietnam embassy staff and Vietnamese community representatives waving flags of Vietnam and Russia to greet the Party chief and other distinguished guests.

Next, the General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and high-level delegation to Vietnam placed flowers at the monument to President Ho Chi Minh; Visit Cultural Centre in Hanoi Trade - Moscow, met and talked with officials, embassy staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.

General Secretary graciously visited and sent greetings to all our dear people of all ages in the community in general the Russian Federation, in particular Mosva capital. Next, the General Secretary noticed information about the situation in the country, the problems related to all aspects of social life in Vietnam, foreign relations with Vietnam - International general and Vietnam - Russia in particular.

From the actual situation of each country and the general evolution of the world, to promote bilateral relations, General Secretary expressed confidence and hope, embassy officials, Vietnam relatives in Russia will become a bridge to promote stronger ties between Vietnam and Russia, build the image of Vietnam in the heart of Russian friends.

Acquiring the guidance of the Secretary General, Ambassador Nguyen Thanh Son on behalf of all officers, employees embassies and community people expressed their desire for the visit, the delegation will work with the effects appropriate to the Russians, make more favorable conditions for people to earn a stable living; at the same time promising that Secretary will resolve Vietnam Community building in Russia of a typical community in the national unity bloc Vietnam in the world, to be able to hold your head high: "It is people of Vietnam, is "the Lac Hong's grandchildren" as the opinion of the General Secretary.
