A G10 team from the Nguyen Binh Khiem primary school in Ho Chi Minh City won the championship title at the 2013 International Robothon Competition in Manila, the Philippines on November 24.
This was the first time it outclassed tough rivals from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines attending the event for three consecutive years.

In order to “build a better city for better life”, different teams focused on assembling and installing robots to solve issues facing a modern city such as gathering and processing intelligence, as well as having best use of urban space.

Vietnam’s G10 team includes three pupils Lieu Ngoc Bao Thanh, Dao Thien Long, Dinh Pham Ba Thi who have gained 2,000 points after two rounds of the competition.

The 2013 International Robothon Competition is an annual event for kids aged between six and thirteen, creating a playground for them to apply information technologies and scientific advances in the spirit of creativity and team work.

Earlier, a national competition had been held by DTT-Eduspect in Da Nang to select outstanding teams to participate in the Philippines event.
