Fuel prices in sharp fall on May 4

The two ministries of Finance and Industry and Trade have made 12 adjustments to fuel prices since the start of the year.

Fuel prices went down sharply as of 3pm on May 4 at the 12th adjustment made by ministries of Industry and Trade, and Finance.

The price of RON92 E5 fuel fell by VND1,251 per liter to a maximum of VND21,437.

The price of RON95 dropped by VND1,319 per liter to VND22,320 per liter.

Diesel prices declined by VND1,143 per liter to VND18,254.

Kerosene oil price slid by VND952 per liter to VND18,528.

Mazut price was curbed by VND334 per kilogram to VND15,509 kilogram.

The ministries set aside VND500 per liter for RON92 E5 and RON95 fuels and VND300 per liter for diesel and kerosene to supplement the fuel price stabilization fund.

Since the beginning of the year, the ministries have made 12 adjustments in fuel prices, with seven increases and four cuts.

Globally, Brent crude fell a total of 17.2% in three weeks to US$72.33 a barrel on May 3.
