Foreign reporters help to understand more clearly on Vietnam's aspects
The Foreign Ministry held a meeting in Hanoi on January 11 with foreign journalists and press attachés of foreign representative offices in Vietnam on the occasion of the New Year 2016.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ha Kim Ngoc emphasised that in 2015, foreign reporters and press attachés closely followed each key event in Vietnam to reflect and timely report on the country's situation.
The Deputy Minister said that Vietnam's efforts and achievements are not widely known and the viral effects diminish significantly without providing to the world with the country's information by foreign journalists and press attachés of foreign representative offices in Vietnam.
He said, in 2015, Vietnam celebrated the 40th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification, the 70th National Day, as well as organised some activities to mark the establishment of its diplomatic ties with other countries. The country also successfully hosted the 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly in March and maintained political security and economic growth.
Foreign journalists and press attachés of foreign representative offices in Vietnam have acted as bridges bringing Vietnam closer to the world and vice versa, Deputy Minister Ngoc affirmed, and expressing his hope that foreign reporters and press attachés will continue to exert their efforts in helping international friends understand more clearly and exactly all aspects of Vietnam as well as its socio-economic development achievements and Vietnam's stance on regional and international issues.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that the ministry will continue to facilitate in providing information accurately, fully and promptly to foreign journalists and press attachés on Vietnam's external events and issues, and support foreign correspondents to connect with Vietnamese ministries, branches and localities.
