Five Vietnamese killed in car crash in Thailand
All the Vietnamese victims were at working ages and came from the central coastal province of Ha Tinh.
Five Vietnamese people died in a car crash Saturday [March 23] in Kanchanaburi province, Thailand, about 150km west of Bangkok.

Ten dead victims include five Vietnamese and five Laotians, according to Miracle of Life Foundation’s Kanchanaburi branch executive Suchon Thiwakorn.
On Sunday morning, the deceased were brought to the Police General Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine to Bangkok for autopsy.
Initially, the police have identified the victims. All Vietnamese decreased at working ages in the central province of Ha Tinh (which borders Laos) came to work in Thailand under nonimmigrant visas.
Vietnamese diplomats in Thailand are working with local authorities and police for necessary and quick handing over of the case. They also worked with the truck company involving in the accident to support the victims.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed its diplomatic mission in Thailand to keep track of the incident and deal with the consequences.
A number of Vietnamese people, mostly in the central provinces of Ha Tinh and Nghe An have flocked to work in Thailand under visitor visas which are valid for a month. After the validity, they will extend the visas to continue working there.
