The first Hanoi High School Students Choir Festival attracts 2,000 students from all over the city.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training launched the first Hanoi High School Students Choir Festival on January 12 with the theme "Songs dedicated to the Party will resound forever".

It's a cultural and artistic activity that helps create an exciting and vibrant competitive atmosphere in schools.

The activity also aims to educate the young generation about the political ideology, revolutionary ethics, and thousand-year-old cultural traditions of the capital, to shape a healthy lifestyle for them, and to cultivate talents.

The festival attracted a large number of students from primary, secondary, high schools, and tertiary education.

After qualifying rounds at the school, district, and city levels, 49 units made it to the final round at the city level, presenting their best performances at the city level, which were seriously polished, elaborately choreographed, colorful, and of high artistic quality.

The performances expressed love for the homeland, country, national pride, praise for the glorious Party, beloved Uncle Ho, the thousand-year-old capital Hanoi, and affection for teachers and school.

The festival runs from January 12 to 14. On the evening of January  20-21, the best performances will be shown on the pedestrian streets of Son Tay Town and Hoan Kiem District.

According to Tran The Cuong, Director of Hanoi's Department of Education and Training, the performance nights will spread the festival's excellent entries to a large number of teachers, students, parents, and people.

It is a practical propaganda activity to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930-February 3, 2024), leading up to the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954- October 10, 2024), the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Hanoi Education and Training Sector (October 9, 1954-October 9, 2024).
