Exhibition of heritage photos opens in Can Tho

Some 100 photos of Viet Nam and its people are on display at the third Heritage Photo Exhibition that opened on Wednesday at the City Museum in Can Tho.
The pictures, shot by 73 photographers from around the country, feature beautiful landscapes, the country's tangible and intangible heritages like architecture, sculpture, handicrafts, music, dance, folk games, and religious activities.
The week-long exhibition is being held by the Viet Nam Heritage Association and the Heritage magazine as part of the 2014 Viet Nam Heritage Photo Awards contest to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Viet Nam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
The exhibition received 4,400 entries from 477 photographers.
The photos will go on to be displayed in Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Quang Ninh, An Giang, Tien Giang, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau provinces and Ha Noi and Da Nang cities.
