European Day of Languages in Vietnam expects to welcome over 700 visitors
If you’re looking for fun activities to improve learning new languages this weekend, consider attending the 8th European Day of Languages in Vietnam.
The 8th European Day of Languages in Vietnam is expected to welcome more than 700 visitors, the organizing board announced at a press conference on September 24.
This annual event is organized by the European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC). This year’s participants include the Aula Cervantes and the British Council, as well as the embassies of France, Italy, Poland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation and the Goethe-Institut in Vietnam.
The event will be held at Goethe-Institut Hanoi, located in Ba Dinh district on September 29.
Many kinds of taster classes will be offered to enable participants to learn some words and communication strategies in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Finnish, Czech and Spanish. Brief, fun sessions lasting 30 minutes each are scheduled for the entire afternoon, and aim at three groups: children, teenagers, and adults.
In addition, the diversity of European culture will be featured in poster displays on each country and their languages in the hall of the Goethe-Institut. The hall will also host presentations by each partner on studying in their country. There will also be a quiz offering attractive prizes for the lucky winners, such as scholarships for language courses, as well as T-shirts, caps, books, and much more.
The 8th European Day of Languages offers a unique opportunity for anyone from the Hanoi community interested in language, culture, international exchange and experience, or overseas study, in a multi-lingual environment and an afternoon packed with the enjoyment of interesting input and international exchange.
No registration is required for the afternoon Festival of Languages. Entrance to all events is free.
